Many of you have stopped by looking for genealogy information. You will find the portal page to all the genealogy files within this site by clicking the "Roots Diggin'" link just above. I will be adding a search feature to the genealogy pages, but until I do please use the Edit, Find on this page feature of your browser to locate specific names.

Templeton Coat of Arms

Ann has reserved the Patio Deck (same shelter as last year) at High Falls County Park for the entire day in July (10:00am to 8:00pm). This shelter is near the Playground and the Bathrooms, and, of course, right on the lake. The park is on Lake Keowee in Oconee County, South Carolina. The park has a campground, if you are interested in camping. The fee is $16.00 per night. The campsites are on a first come first serve basis. If you are coming just for the day, be aware there is a $2.00 parking fee during the summer months.

The park is located at 671 High Falls Rd., Seneca, SC, 29672. The phone number is 864-882-8234.Map

JOHN WARREN TEMPLETON, JAMES LEE TEMPLETON, ILA BELLE TEMPLETON & SARAH FRANCES TEMPLETON

My grandmother, Sarah Frances Templeton Gaulden, told me this picture was taken while her mother, Margaret Allen Compton (Allie) worked at the John da le Howe School (I can hear my grandmother's voice, "John duh luh Howe Schoowul") in McCormick, SC, shortly after her husband, Christopher Lee Templeton, died of Typhoid in 1911.

I have more Templeton Pictures that I will be posting to a Templeton Photographs page, stay tuned...
